Current Progress

The Stress Test started out with the main objective of reaching 5 million transactions within 24 hours. While previous test have been successfully and provided much valuable data, the target of 5 million transactions within 24 hours is still yet to be broken.

The upcoming Stress Test we plan to use and encourage use of live Bitcoin (BSV) services and apps for more organic testing and to help provide data to developers building on top of Bitcoin (BSV).

August 1st 2018

This was the very first testing of the initial stress testing script. We processed 687,000 on-chain transactions within 24 hours, passing the previous record by 197,000 transactions, at a fraction of the cost, demonstrating the benefits of larger blocks.

1st Community Stress Test

September 1st 2018

The very first Community Driven Stress Test. People from all around the globe contributed to 2.1 Million transactions within a 24 hour period, with an average tx fee of $0.002. A 21.35MB block was also produced.

Professional Stress Test

November 15-19th 2018

3 days of testing produced block number 557,335 coming in at 63,999,195 bytes. This was at the time the largest block ever mined on a public blockchain and included 334,074 transactions.

A public stress testing of a new service soon to be announced. 

2nd Community Driven Stress Test

September 1st 2019

The 2nd Community Stress Test, will use only apps and services to do the testing instead of the Satoshi shotgun script as used in previous testing. There will also be a prize of *10 Bitcoin for the most used service.
